This is one of those topics I always see people all over the place with. Do you view yourself as successful in your current state or place in life? Or do you need to have this thing, or that position, or make a certain amount of money? I always tell people that I meet if they are measuring with the latter that it can crush and hinder them from moving forward and growing. Allowing the world and the society to hold the measuring stick of your success puts you out of control and can create a step so large it is impossible to climb. The most successful and happy people in this world may not be “successful” in societies eyes but they are living amazing lives. The most successful always viewed themselves as successful also, even before they world qualified them as “Successful”.
This is where I would like you to be. To take control and grab that measuring stick. Success is entirely up to you on what you decide to define it as. Do not get it confused with an end game or a final score, but rather a current checkpoint knowing that you will continue to grow. Take a moment and appreciate everything you have. Everything that you have achieved so far. Take a look down at the ground and be thankful that you are above it instead of below it. There is always someone out there that would love to be living in your shoes even on your worst day.
Take a minute and make a list of what you have done and view yourself as a success right now today! I know you have something special.
Next list some goals and places you would like to go and continue to view yourself as an even bigger success tomorrow and next year.
